Using data from ZomBee Watch, museum records and ecological modelling scientists from the University of Bristol, San Francisco State University, the Natural History Museum of LA County and the Chinese Academy of Sciences show that vast areas of Europe, Asia, Australia and South America provide potential habitat for the zombie fly. Given the movement of honey bee colonies around the world, vigilance is needed to prevent introduction of the zombie fly beyond its native North America.  For more details, access the paper online.
